Christmas is finally over and you can tell, I’ve been with the kids battling (reluctantly) some of the after Christmas craziness trying to spend a few gift cards that were burning a hole in the kid’s pockets.
But now we are coming up on one more holiday after Christmas, New Years. This holiday is a little different from Christmas because we spent only a few weeks waiting for Christmas day, but when New Year’s Eve comes we’ll be waiting to find out what’s going to happen for an entire year!
It’s hard to think of a whole year of unexpected experiences, knowing that the next year will be filled, with some good, some not so good and many just plain old in-between ones. But we just won’t know till we get there what the year will bring.
Except, in Jesus, there is one thing we know for certain, no matter what the New Year brings. Romans 8:38-39, For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, (nothing) will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Have a blessed New Year’s holiday and start the New Year off right with the Lord!
