Can God work through your mistakes?
God can and he does. Pastor Paul writes in Galatians 1:23-24, sharing how people reacted to the once great persecutor of Christians who was now preaching Jesus Christ his Savior.
“He who used to persecute us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.” And they glorified God because of me.
And they glorified God! How cool is that!
We are not perfect people, but we are forgiven people who don’t have to walk in shame of what we have done and the mistakes we have made.
God has forgiven you and me and will work through the mistakes we make as a witness to others. We can say without fear, I once was this or did this, or even I am struggling with this right now, but this is what God has done and this is what God is doing for me in this difficult struggle in my life.
Because it gives people an opportunity, to see that they are not alone in their struggles, we struggle as well. But also to see the love of God in the midst of our struggles and for them to know that love is for them too, even in their struggles.
God’s love is bigger than our guilt and His forgiveness is bigger than our shame.
