Do you ever feel like you are being torn in two?
Sometimes it’s because you really want to do two things but can’t do both,
or when a friend and family member want to go to two different places on the same day,
or when you want to do something but God wants you to do something else.
In Luke 16:13 Jesus challenges us:
No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.
Examine your own heart, what is it that is competing for your devotion? You can tell by a simple little thought.
- what you spend your money on.
- what you spend your time watching on tv.
- what you spend your free time doing
Take a few moments and look at it. What does the time, money and energy you have go towards and who are you serving?
We do have freedom to live out our lives but in doing that have we placed God in the backseat or even the trunk while we travel or is Jesus driving and leading us.
Take some time and be honest about what is going on knowing that every mistake is an opportunity to turn back to God and fully receive God’s mercy and…
God will always make you whole again.
